When designer Florence Deau began remodeling a 1950s beachside pied-à-terre in Royan, France, she sought to evoke the space's midcentury roots while also giving it a contemporary flair. The resulting space is both eye-catching and welcoming, full of furniture Deau made herself as well as vintage flea market finds.
