The newly refurbished parade ring restaurant is one of the finest ways to enjoy a day at Ascot races. Here are 5 things about it!
One
Have a three course lunch served by your waiter. You actually have a wine waiter and food waited assigned just to your table.
Two
Select complimentary drinks from the drink package menu. This menu also has some wines and spirits you can buy but the included selection are still of good quality and more than adequate.
Three
Place a bet from the luxury of your table. In the Parade ring restaurant there is no need to queue to bet. In good time before each race the tote will come to you!
Four
Have afternoon tea at about 4.00. Once you feel ready after your meal you have the option to have afternoon tea. This is perfect just before the last couple of races.
Five
Once you have chosen your horse and had a look at the selection in the parade ring head over to the specially reserved area just for you. The staff on the doors are superb and make a huge effort to remember faces. This means that you do not need to show your badge every time. The parade ring restaurant reserved seating overlooks the finish line so in our opinion you have the best view. A while ago now we were lucky to dine at Ascot’s excellent top floor restaurant, ‘on 5′ which has the advantage of overlooking the whole course but does not have the luxury of being so close to the finishing line.
