5 Workouts for Weight Loss

Posted on the 22 March 2022 by Mountain Publishing @mountainpublish

Studies have shown that roughly 71% of Americans have gained weight throughout the last 2 years, likely in part to being quarantined at home during various stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. As life begins to inch towards normalcy, many find themselves wanting to shed the unneeded weight, but are struggling. If this describes you, don’t worry; weight loss can be an extremely difficult journey full of challenges and obstacles, but once you find a routine that works for you, you will see results. If you have tried many weight loss methods and just can’t seem to find one that produces results, HCG injections from a clinic like RCMC might be a good option for you.

Many people focus solely on their eating habits when trying to lose weight, but exercise plays an equally important role. Here are some of the most effective exercises for weight loss.

1. Jump Rope

Although it might sound silly, jumping rope is one of the most efficient ways for adults to burn fat, especially those who do not have the time for a lengthy, high-intensity workout. Jumping rope improves your balance and coordination skills, and promotes cardiovascular health. It can also be done easily on the go since all you need is a lightweight rope. For those looking to fit some serious cardio into their busy schedules, jumping rope is the perfect workout.

2. Walking

While it is not as high intensity as other workouts, walking consistently can be a great way to burn fat and see quick weight loss results. Walking is also a great option for anyone not interested in spending much time in a gym, as it is easy to incorporate into your daily routine. If you are able, try walking to work a few days a week, or taking a walk around your neighborhood or a nearby park and admiring the views. This is an efficient and enjoyable way to incorporate exercise into your daily routine.

3. Swimming

One of the best ways to burn calories while building muscle strength is swimming. Swimming laps targets many different muscles in your body and is one of the highest intensity workouts you can do; since it is done in the water, however, it does not apply as much pressure on or causes as much damage to your joints, in the way that another high-intensity workout like running would. Not to mention, swimming is fun and a great way to switch up your normal gym routine.

4. Cycling

Many experts agree that the most intense cardio workout you can do is cycling on a stationary bike. Thanks to programs like Pelaton or classes at studios like Cyclebar, cycling can be done alongside other riders in a fast-paced and fun setting. Although this is one of the most rigorous workouts you can do, it is also one of the most fun and exciting!

5. Pilates

A less intense workout than other options on this list, Pilates (or yoga that is done without mats or other tools) is a great way to strengthen core muscles and encourage weight loss. Pilates can be done on your own (and, like jumping rope, can be done anywhere) or among others at the gym or a specialized Pilates class.
