Superstitions seem to follow all big events.  There is no wonder that there are lists of them from all parts of the world.  While I do have my own much to my children's chagrin, the true fate of any marriage is two people working to make their marriage respectful, happy and full of love.  These are just to have some fun.

Who knew?  But someone in the infinite wisdom decided that buying your wedding bands on a Friday is bad luck.  I think the only one who is without luck are the jewelers.

While a veil has so many superstitions threaded to it, the one I did not know about was the many, many years ago the veil was used to keep the evil spirits away from the bride who were jealous of her happiness.

The Greeks believe that placing a sugar cube in your wedding glove will guarantee you a sweet married life.  You are not wearing gloves?  I guess putting somewhere else won't hurt.

The Indian culture believes that much luck will come to the bride and groom is a cat eats out of the left wedding shoe of either.  I think it won't be lucky if the cat doesn't eat everything.

I am not sure who thinks these things up but according to the English a spider found on the bride's dress the day of her wedding is the jackpot in good luck.  Not for nothing...I'm not feeling it.
