When it comes to DIY wedding stationery, often the envelopes become a bit of an afterthought (even if they are the first things your guests see!) Unless you are a talented and patient calligraphy guru, you might struggle to think of some ideas to pimp your envelopes (especially in a last minute panic!) Today I give you 5 DIY ideas for extra fancy pants envelopes...
Wax stamps are no longer impossible to find and incredibly old-fashioned. They are a pretty fancy pants way to add something special to your envelopes and you can get them customised! (warning: a little practice and patience may be required i.e if you 100's of invitations and get cranky easily this option might not be for you). Check out my favourites on Etsy from Back to Zero.
There are three ways you can go about this. 1. Buy a printable design online (the liners above can be found at Freshmint Paperie ) 2. Go random with a mix of paper and make your own (some of those bulk scrapbooking pads have cool designs). 3. Get your craft on and design your own using photoshop (could add some personlised text), stamps, or even paint something fancy on paper (and then cut it to size). For a great envelope liner tutorial .
Customised address stamps add the wow factor to your envelopes, kinda make you feel famous and also save you heaps of time writing your address (over ,and over, and yep over again!) You will find hundreds of different options on but the designs above by Fall For Design are pretty cute indeed.
Inspired by using stamps to decorate your envelopes and create a speech bubble for each address, would be relatively easy and super purrrty. (you could also create your own invitations with the same idea!) These two designs above are just a few of the amazing stamps available through Noolibird Stamps.

Have colourful invitations? This would be a super cool way to send your invites! Using some wax or tracing paper and a little double sided tape or washi tape, you could whip these up in no time! Get a free template here or on Pinterest, print one out on A4 then break out your tracing skills from the 80's. You could even include confetti!
