5 Times Luke Bryan Stole Hearts in Chicago

By Urbanmatter Chicago @UMatterChicago

On October 28 and 29, 2015, country music superstar Luke Bryan came to the United Center in Chicago for the second-to-last stop of the Kick The Dust Up tour. As the reigning 2015 CMA Entertainer of the Year, Luke Bryan is evidently doing something right! Based on his time here this past week, here are 5 Times Luke Bryan Stole Hearts in Chicago.

Luke Bryan
1. When he “Stripped it Down”.
Luke Bryan opened the show with a denim jacket on, but after parading around the stage for about two songs, he “Stripped it Down” and threw the denim jacket off, exposing his finely tuned physique. Hearts were immediately stolen.

2. When he shook it for us.
One thing Luke Bryan is known for is “shaking it”. I lost count, but during his time spent in Chicago, there was absolutely no shortage of booty shaking and grinding along to the music from Mr. Bryan. Needless to say, the hearts of his female fans were stolen immediately. I guess you could call it love at first shake!

3. When he drank a beer with us.
A dock appeared in the middle of the catwalk, surrounded by fog and the intro to the chart shattering single, “Drink a Beer” filled the room. As the audience lit up the United Center with their cell phones, Luke asked, “How many of you have lost someone that you wish you could see again? Raise your glasses and let’s drink a beer to them.” Compassion was felt, and again, hearts were stolen!

4. When he danced on top of a “big, black, jacked-up truck”.
Surrounded by a ring of fire, Luke Bryan came out for the encore standing on top of a lifted truck, equivalent to the “big, black, jacked-up truck” spoken about in his hit song, “That’s My Kind of Night”. The excitement of the encore performance, Luke Bryan shaking it on top of the truck, and the ring of fire surrounding him, was enough to literally set the hearts of Chicago on fire.

5. When he sang “Sugar” with his tourmates.
When Luke Bryan brought out his tourmates, Dustin Lynch (adorned in a custom Blackhawks jersey with “Lynch” on the back) and Randy Houser to sing the Maroon 5 smash, “Sugar”, the crowd swooned and even non-country fan hearts were won over. Talent exploded between the perfect harmonies and unbelievable falsetto of these three stars. Check out this exclusive clip!
