Park up, check in and be shown to your bedroom. Our room ( Begonia) was spacious with a huge bathroom. The bedroom key alone is impressive!

Walk around the stunning Nunsmere lake. The nature trail of this walk will take around forty minutes. There are a few puzzles attached to trees to do on route that will keep children entertained.

Dinner at Nunsmere Hall hotel is excellent. We had the cheese souffle and Parmesan soup for starters, both were superb. The trout and beef for main course were sublime. For a Monday evening the restaurant was busy – a true indicator of a hotel recognised for its food. We finished with coffee and petit four in the lounge. The service is impeccable.

Enjoy breakfast. At breakfast you have a choice of full English or continental. Things like kippers can also be ordered and nice to see things such as eggs and soldiers. Breakfast at Nunsmere Hall is a civilised and calming experience.

Walk around the beautiful grounds of the hotel. There is plenty of seating for a drink outside or quiet reading.
