1. To start the day, I check out my boutique Ozone Design in Geneva and browse through its selection of contemporary home accessories. Strongly influenced by the swinging sixties, the shop offers trendy, fun yet elegant objects and small furniture. I make sure everything is in order and operational before opening the doors to my customers.
2. From there and after a brief walk through the old town, I go to the local bookstore to pick up a book on the famous Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and his fabulous buildings. He is one of the most creative and talented architects and his architecture is truly inspirational.
3. Feeling a little hungry, my next stop is Kakinuma’s. The best little sushi place in the Eaux-Vives area owned by Mr. and Mrs. Kakinuma who are the heart and soul of this delightful low-key restaurant.
4. I then hop into my car and make the 30 minutes drive to Lausanne and visit the fabulous Rolex Learning Center built on the prestigious EPFL, Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne campus. This building was designed by the internationally acclaimed Japanese Architectural practice, SANAA. It functions as a labaratory for learning, a library with 500.000 volumes and an international cultural hub for EPFL open to both students and the public. It is light, airy, spectacular.
5. I finish off the day back at my desk and on my computer. My ozonedesignlifestyle blog is waiting to be updated. I plan the next orders to be placed for my shop. Decide on the next collection I will promote. I read articles on new designers, trendy design, fabulous interiors, gorgeous travel spots and what’s hot & what’s not. I surf on the internet, I read, I explore new sites, I tweet, I plan my next trip.
