1. It's been ten years.
The First Annual Philippine Komiks Convention in U.P. Diliman was formed a decade ago, and what started as an annual event turned into a triannual affair that thousands of comic book afficionados and creators attend.
From 10am to 7pm at Bayanihan Center, Pasig City on April 12, 2014

2. Apps
I saw two app booths at the event, and one of them caught my eye. Pickld is this cross between a comic subscription tool and instagram. I may or may not post a review about this app in the future.
3. Food
The Summer Komikon 2014 wouldn't be complete without some delicious food, and fortunately there was someone who sold baked goodies! Birdhouse Bakers, purveyors of fine pastries, sold tasty cupcakes and cookies at the event to satisfy the comic fanatics' sweet tooth. Of course there were savory goodies like hotdogs and barbecue near the parking area.

4. The comic books and geeky paraphernalia
(There were a lot of people at the event, and well, I only got to snap a few shots. Excuses, excuses.)

5. The comic book gods
..and demi gods.

Hey, it's Marvel illustrator Jerry Alanguilan (Maybe you folks know him more as that guy from the Hey Baby Youtube video.)

Shame on me for even forgetting these guys' names. I'm still working on figuring you guys out.

Guess who?!
