This week 5 things to do today enjoyed afternoon tea at the luxury Surrey hotel, Pennyhill Park in Bagshot.
Pennyhill Park hotel has much to boast about including an excellent and opulent spa, a Michelin star restaurant (The Latymer) all situated in 123 acres of rolling Surrey parkland.

Here are 5 things about the afternoon tea experience.
One
Afternoon tea is served in the Ascot Bar. This fine room overlooks the outdoor pool area of the hotel – yes it is even used when it is cold outside!
Two
There is choice of different afternoon tea’s ranging from the traditional to the Royal Ascot which is served with a glass of Nyetimber Classic Cuvee, English Sparkling Wine. If you have children with you then there is even a smaller afternoon tea on offer called the Mini Me.
Three
We decided to opt for the Royal Ascot afternoon tea. There is a huge selection of teas and coffees to accompany your three tiered layers of sandwiches, scones (both plain and fruit – you can choose of course) and sweet cakes and fancies.
Four
You will not go hungry as all sandwiches and scones can be replenished if you wish. If you decide to change tea variety then again this is no problem. There is a lot of teas to choose from!
Five
After your afternoon tea your curiosity will get the better of you and you will want to explore the rest of the hotel and grounds. Ask for a tour of the spa and to be impressed. The indoor pool is most luxuriest we have ever seen.
