This week ‘5 things’ dined at Bocconcino Italian restaurant in fashionable Mayfair. The restaurant is only a short walk from Green Park underground station and The Ritz Hotel.
One
Start with a glass of prosecco and begin to peruse the menus. Whilst drinking take in the modern surroundings. You have a choice of sitting downstairs or upstairs. The spiral staircase is truly impressive.
Two
Order the parma ham with deep fried cheese pasties to begin with for your starter. This is large portion and probably enough to share. The pasties are a highlight with warm cheese oozing out.
Three
Choose the Scottish beef fillet for you main course. This is served with rocket salad and a large beef tomato which was nicely oiled and salted. A side of spinach was ordered to accompany.
Four
For dessert we went for the profiteroles which were filled with Chantilly cream. A hot chocolate sauce was poured onto the profiteroles at the table by the waiter. Again these were a huge portion.
Five
Order wine for the table. The waiters were very knowledgeable about the restaurant’s wine selection and were on hand throughout the meal for advice. The dessert wine chosen for us rounded off the meal superbly.
Bocconcino is a smart, modern and sophisticated restaurant in a bustling area of Mayfair. Once finished there are plenty of bars to visit with an air of luxury such as Bar at The Mayfair Hotel across the road.
Make sure that you book a table. On our visit the restaurant had filled up almost completely by 7.00. We hope that you enjoy your visit. Please comment below to tell us how you much you enjoyed Bocconcino.
Our visit the Bocconcino was complementary.
