5 Pointz is in Long Island City, New York. It was originally an abandoned warehouse family owned by Jerry Wolkoff. In 1992 a company called Graffiti Terminators renamed the site as “Phun Phactory”. Their main goal was not just to get illegal Graffiti off the streets of New York but to glorify it as an actual art form. Shortly after Jonathan Cohen (Known as Meres One) took over the idea and renamed this safe haven for artists “5 Pointz”. History was then on made.
