Like you, even my wish is to visit my dream country- Korea. I fantasize about the things I would like to do when in Korea. The list is endless and I can’t wait to travel. You won’t believe that I have even added a weather update of Seoul on my phone 🙂 lol Am so ready already.

However, till the time I get to travel, Kdramas has been my getaway to Korea as I can watch good shows along with amazing locations. Korean dramas promote tourism through them and hence we get to see many known and unexplored places in Korea. 

Here are my favourite K-dramas that are swoon-worthy and have alluring locations. We can enjoy Korea in the comfort of our home by watching K-dramas. If you’re looking for a virtual getaway to Korea, then look no further than these five Korean dramas. Each has its own unique charm that makes it stand out from the rest.

You can add your favourite locations like me to your itinerary whenever you travel to Korea.

1. Itaewon Class

This is my favourite show of 2020 and I highly recommend you to watch it. 

Apart from the amazing storyline and actors, this drama is a getaway to Downtown Seoul and Itaewon city which is famous for tourists. Here people visit to enjoy the nightlife with friends, chill in cafes and make new friends.

This drama breaks the stereotypes of Korean culture by having an African member as a part of the restaurant team, supporting transgender and talking about the unfavourable bar rules.

3. Do do sol sol la la sol 

This 2020 rom-com drama is entertaining to watch. I enjoyed a lot watching this show except the end. It will tickle your funny bones and make you feel relax. 

The show takes you around to mesmerizing cathedrals, fancy cafes, and cities of Mokpo & Seoul.

4. Vincenzo

Vincenzo is an epic drama of 2021 and I can’t get over it. The plot is refreshing and the climax is unbelievable. I got attached to all characters as they were so good.

The main leads were fantastic but it was Taecyeon that made this show more intriguing with his skillful performance and killer looks. His English command was good and even though I hated his character, I loved his acting. Take a bow!

5. Record Of Youth

A struggling actor wants to become a star and change his life for good. The plotline is old but the concept and scriptwriting are new. A realistic show that focuses on youth’s dreams.

How K-dramas made me fall in love with Korea?

It has many interesting and new places to discover like Siheung, Gyeonggi Province and credit goes to the show’s brilliant cinematography that will make you think- Wow! What a place, I want to visit here.

I liked the library a lot and I have added it to my travel list when I visit Korea. Then there is BAEGOT HANUL PARK which made me awe-struck due to its illuminating lights, picturesque skyscraper, and artistic design.
