Over Farm, Over

Just on the outskirts of Gloucester is a place called Over Farm with horses, donkeys, pigs, sheep and ostriches. You can wander around the farm and see all the animals, stopping for a picnic on a bench. If you do have a bit of pocket money pop into the farm shop for some delicious local food and drink.

Pittville Park, Cheltenham

A huge park with so many elements, you can spend an entire day. Hire boats on the lake, feed the ducks, play in the huge wooden adventure playground, see the animals, picnic on the lawn and play pooh sticks on the bridge.

Gloucester Docks, Gloucestertravel

Walk along to canal and see the longboats. Take in the beautiful views of the historic warehouse buildings at the docks and spot pirate ships in the boat yards. Visit the museums dotted around and keep an eye out for the many sculptures dotted about.

Sculpture Trail, Forest of Dean

Join 300,000 visitors who walk the sculpture trail every year. Based in the Forest of Dean, follow the trail and see who can discover each sculpture first. There are 17 to see. Can you find them all?

Roman Ruins, Witcombe

Go back in time and visit the incredible ancient Roman villa ruins just outside Brockworth, Gloucester. See the original mosaics. Take a walk from the ruins through the woods to the top of the famous cheese rolling hill, Coopers Hill.
