Whether you’re in a warm climate or you’re shoveling snow, Winter Style is all about the layers. I usually start with a layering tank/camisole as the first layer of every outfit I wear. I almost always wear scarves year round as well, I just change up the fabric depending on the season.
Outfit Number One:
Black Layering Tank, Striped Woven {can be substituted for any color or style of button down shirt}, Leggings, Boots, completed with a faux leather jacket.
{What I’m wearing: Tank, Striped Shirt, and Leggings H&M, Jacket and Boots Charlotte Russe, Celine Sunglasses}
Outfit Number 2:
Just because it’s drab outside doesn’t mean your wardrobe has to be! For this outfit I started with a Floral Tank {can sub out any color}, added a brightly colored sweater, and then layered a pashima scarf and brightly colored purse. Another thing I usually do with all outfits is wear a belt with my shoes…. you can’t see it very well in this picture but I’m wearing a gold belt with the leopard loafers. Even if people can’t see the belt, tuck a little bit of the front of your shirt in for added style.
{What I’m wearing: Tank by Target, Sweater Forever 21, Jeans by Diesel, Scarf Nordstrom, Belt AE, Shoes Sam Edelman, LV Vintage Bag}
Outfit Number Three:
Denim on Denim.
Oh, the beloved Denim on Denim ensemble.
This is definitely a love hate relationship for most people, they love the way it looks on other people and can’t imagine wearing it themselves. Well have no fear, I have faith you can do it! What you need is a lightly colored denim top, and darker colored jeans. As long as it doesn’t look like you were attempting to match… {which will appear as a failed attempt}, you will be just fine! For this outfit I started with a yellow tank, then layered a Denim Top by Forever 21, and paired it with jeans {True Religion}, and tossed on a scarf {Nordstrom}, and the three layer boot from Minnetonka.
Outfit Number Four:
Long Sleeve Shirt, layered with a Puffer Vest, Scarf, Wool Pants, and Converse-ish shoes. Vests are a great way to add a layer of warmth, and make a boring outfit fabulous!
{Outfit info: Free People Henley, Vest old, Zara Skull Scarf, Zara Wool Herringbone Pant, Rocketdog Camo Shoes, Celine Sunglasses}
And last but not least, Outfit Number Five:
A basic outfit of jeans and a sweater can be easily dressed up with the addition of fur and heels! You just need a sweater, a pair of blue jeans, a scarf, a pair of heels or boots, and a matching belt! And then add a fur trimmed jacket. If you search Forever 21’s site for fur trimmed sweaters they usually have a ton!
Hope you are staying warm wherever you may be in the world!!!
