Faced with the difficult task of renovating a San Rafael home designed by mid-century master Joseph Eichler, designer Stephen Shoup focused on maximizing the structure's simplicity and clarity. Inside, Shoup and his team sought to better connect the kitchen to the rest of the home, and added a fence outdoors that gave the entire property an increased sense of cohesion.
