5 Apps That I’m Loving

By Winyeemichelle
It’s a thinly veiled secret that I’m borderline obsessed with my phone. Despite me having had a two-week impromptu digital detox earlier this year, it’s safe to say that my obsession still reigns and I’m rarely seen without my trusty Google Pixel in hand. Believe me, it was worth the mad cat-and-mouse chase for it! The camera is to die for, functionality epic and it seamlessly fits into both my work and leisure life. All of the photos on my Instagram and a few on my blog are taken with it, in case you were wondering.
Now I don’t know about you but the prospect of a new phone makes me absolutely bubble with excitement at the thought of starting afresh with a Photo Gallery, apps and the way I organize my phone. So, here’s a quick rundown of 5 apps that I’m loving lately:

Asana Rebel

I’ve been introducing yoga into my everyday since April now and whilst previously I looked to YouTube videos, something that I’ve been hooked on of late is the Asana Rebel app. The app is free and there is a range of free workouts and a range of paid programmes; I tend to stick to the free ones because I flat out can’t afford £100 on an app. Asana Rebel is beautifully laid out and wonderfully intuitive. There is a daily workout to ensure you do at least 5 minutes a day, recommended single workouts and a calendar so you can keep up with everything and log your workouts. Additionally, it divides poses and routines into cardio, strength and flow which is so aesthetically pleasing to me!

Tap Tap Fish: Abyssrium

If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll probably be mildly aware of my addiction to this game. The game allows you to collect fish and maintain your own piece of coral deep underwater - your Abyssrium. My boyfriend started playing it more than a month ago and of course I joined him. It’s incredibly compulsive mobile gaming and the background music is oh so relaxing.

Google Photos

Of course as a Google Pixel girl, I couldn’t go a post without mentioning Google Photos. I bloody love being able to seamlessly synchronise my photos folders between devices. It essentially means unlimited storage and makes it really easy to edit and transfer images between my phone and laptop. Instagram problems, eh?

MINDBODY

The MINDBODY app is something that I came across as the beginning of the year. My Barrecore classes are booked through this app and it also plays host to a tonne of local businesses, whatever your area. The app is home to beauty, fitness and wellness deals or classes, making it easy to book classes, salon appointments, etc. at the touch of a fingertip. It’s a great way to browse what’s on offer around you too - I had no idea how many yoga studios there were around me, for example!

Hotel Tonight

It goes without saying that I absolutely adore traveling. And whilst I’m an absolute Airbnb convert (book via my link here www.airbnb.co.uk/c/michellec14112), a hotel is sometimes all you want. Harvey and I like using Hotel Tonight to find last minute reservations. If you’re headed somewhere on relatively short notice or you just fancy a last-minute staycation at the weekend, this app will find sweet hotels at a great discount for up to a week before your stay. We scoured this app like nobody’s business pre-anniversary! You can get £15 off your booking with the code ‘MCHAIDAISYBUTTER’. Thank me later.
