4 Great Reasons to Go Cruelty Free

By Cfl @CrueltyFreeLif1

Every living creature, no matter how big or small, deserves the right to lead a healthy and happy life.

Sadly, that isn’t always the case nowadays, and the simple fact of the matter is that animal cruelty and animal exploitation is a very real problem in 2020, and will be for the foreseeable future unless we act now.

Thankfully, more and more of us are acting now, and consequently we are finding more vegan supermarket sites, and more people following vegan diets and cruelty free lifestyles.

But why should you consider going vegan and adhering to a cruelty free lifestyle? Well, actually, there are a number of reasons, and to emphasize this point we’ll be listing a few for you right now.

Here’s a look at 4 great reasons to go cruelty free.

It’s healthy

One of the main reasons to consider going cruelty free is because of the fact that doing so is so healthy.

You see, most processed junk food contains animal-derived ingredients such as cream, butter, eggs, and suet, which are all high in calories and trans fats. What’s more, many animal products are also processed with additional preservatives, additives, flavourings, and colourings which do the body no good at all.

Then, you have vegan diets. Okay, some vegan foods, I.E potato chips fried in vegetable oil, are unhealthy, but the diet generally focusses on more plant-based ingredients like fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds, which are all loaded full of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, good fats, and more besides.

By going cruelty free and using cruelty free foods such as vegan cheese, you can improve your health massively.

It’s the right thing to do

The main reason why a lot of people adhere to a cruelty free lifestyle is because of the fact that they’re against animal cruelty, mistreatment, and exploitation.

If you want a good reason to go cruelty free, how about the fact that by doing so you are potentially saving the lives of innocent animals, and stopping innocent sentient beings from being exploited?

It will save you money

Want another reason to go cruelty free? How about the fact that it is so affordable?

As you probably know, when you go to the grocery store, meat, fish, eggs, and dairy cost substantially more than plant-based ingredients.

1kg of beef for example, will cost close to 8 times as much as 1kg of fresh carrots, and will not stretch anywhere near as far. Diets containing animal-derived ingredients are not cheap to sustain, so if you are struggling financially, cruelty free diets are the way to go.

Better for the planet

Finally, by going cruelty free, not only are you helping animals, you are also helping the planet.

Did you know, that the meat industry is responsible for such a huge percentage of the world’s emissions? Why, because of methane produced by the cattle being raised for their meat and milk.

Combine this with the deforestation that is taking place to create pastures for the cattle to graze on, and you can see why going cruelty free will help to improve the planet.
