In which Mish looks deceptively happy and not-ill. … And so we reach the mid-month marker of September! How on Earth did that happen?! It’s been a busy few weeks for me from all realms and, as a result, I’m currently nursing a culmination of the flu, a fever and a cough. Yum.
On Saturday I had an exciting meeting in the diary with the team at Chanel though, so I donned some human clothes - a.k.a. not my pajamas - and moseyed up to their studio to hear more about their new launches. For the occasion I thought I’d go all monochrome, not much of a surprise there eh? I’ve been wearing this dress from 3.3 Field Trip (they ship to the UK too! ♥) almost religiously since I bought it back in April but somehow I haven’t shared it in all of its swishy, faux-sporty glory on here yet. It certainly deserves an entire post, too! I adore the pique fabric but it’s a tiny bit see-through and you can totes see my cycling shorts dammit.
I’ve really fallen for slip-ons this season too. They’re perfect for city wandering (in Hong Kong at least!) although this new Topshop pair absolutely tore my feet up upon first wear and I spent much of last week doing that awks new-shoes-penguin walk. They're so pretty, but, the struggle is real. Currently trialling these methods of breaking shoes in, hairdryer at the ready.. However, they’re my favorite thing to team with this sweet drop waist flare dress! Must try and get my hands on all of this silhouette for AW15…
Ah, and of course the Boy came out to play. He’s my absolute pride and joy! I shared a What’s In My Bag video with my Chanel Boy a couple of months ago if you’re curious about how much fits in there and all that jazz. And if you were wondering, the calfskin leather is wearing really well - i.e. it hasn’t worn at all! Yay!
I think this week I’ll be cooping myself at home with plenty of Skype calls and working on Christmas present ideas. (Yeah I went there.) How about you ladies? Tell me a pretty story about your week’s plans! ^_^
