31 Days: Embrace Change

By Doulalovelou
Picture Oh how cliché - talking about change as the Summer turns into Fall (well maybe not in Southern California, but in other places).
However cliché it may be, it is also quite apropo.
Yesterday around lunch time I received an email that knocked me on my butt. It was my last lunch with my parents in Montana, so I tried my hardest to stay present & to enjoy the remainder of my time with them. Boy was that hard.
Throughout the rest of the afternoon & evening my mind kept wandering.
You see the email informed me of a HUGE change happening but also gave me very few details about it & so I was left to consider and wonder and speculate. BAD NEWS BEARS. Note to self: my mind becomes a massive worm-hole when left to speculate.
I can't divulge anything more about the email, but needless to say it is going to require a certain amount of flexibility on my part, as well as the part of many others. And this is somewhat difficult for me because I don't particularly like change. Even though I'm a yoga teacher & am quite flexible physically, emotionally I can be insanely stubborn.
I can adapt & be flexible given some warning & time, but this... hmmm, this could be tricky.
This morning I awoke to another email & a fresh perspective. While I still don't know many details, I have a sincere amount of faith that God is most definitely in control of this situation. He knows what He is doing. He knows how this will impact all those involved & He planned this anyway. And I know that He does everything to the good of those who love Him, so this change must be a good thing!! Maybe it doesn't seem like it today... but one day it will.
So the change of season is upon me (hopefully the weather will start reflecting it SOON... as in tomorrow, please?!) and with it comes other changes as well. Changes that may require additional work, flexibility, and prayer on my part, but changes that will ultimately give honor & glory to God. That much I know is true.
