Following on from 29 and 28, of course, but this time someone dug out a sparkler. This is a milestone year: the baby of the family officially entered his thirties, making everyone feel that much older.
As per usual, Mother-in-Law Restaurante prepared the birthday meal, which was salmon:
Birthday cake: Bolo de Maçã (apple cake). No video this time, but the birthday song was sung heartily while silently there was an undercurrent of “Oh, to be turning 30 again!”
