3 Ways to Share Your Posts like Wildfire

share your posts like wildfire

Share Your Posts Like Wildfire!

Writing your latest blog post is the easy part.

Ok, it is not that easy. You did lot’s of research. You wrote until the early hours of the morning….

But once you have written the post, the work is only half done. Now you need to share it with the world. But you did that already right?

I am sure you have – but how far did it spread? Like wildfire? Probably not!

Well there are many ways to share your posts: social bookmarking, social media, emailing your fans and so on. However, some of the most effective ways to get a new audience are to use some great tools on the web and leverage other peoples fans!

In this post we will be looking at three such tools to help you share your posts even further…….hold on to your hat!

Just Retweet

The first tool that we will be looking at is Just Retweet.

The idea behind Just Retweet is quite simple – share and be shared.

It is all done via Credits. What do I mean by that, well……

  • You earn credits by sharing and following
  • You spend credits asking people to share

It’s as easy as that. Let’s take a look at how you earn credits on Just Retweet.

Getting Credits on Just Retweet

There are two ways you can get your hands on credits

  1. Follow people on Twitter (a few credits)
  2. Share other people’s content (lots of credits)

1. Following People

Either on the main Dashboard or the Twitter Followers tab, you can find people to follow.

The Featured Followers on both of these tabs look like this.

By clicking on the Follow Button you will follow the person on Twitter and get the credits they have allocated to this. Usually it is not a lot: between 2-10 Credits.

If you already follow them, Just Retweet will inform you after you click the button.

**Note : You fill find a lot more people to follow on the Twitter Followers tab.

2. Sharing Content

This is where you will make the most of your credits. Simply share other peoples content either on Facebook, Twitter or Google+.

Here is what a typical piece of content to share looks like

At the top you will see the

  • Content owner
  • Number of credits (not obvious in gray)
  • Category

At the bottom (circled in red in the image) are the options for sharing. Each user decides what these are, but this image shows a post with all 3 possibilities.

You earn credits for sharing in each of these places. So you can share to all three if you want! Three times the fun, three times the credit!

Share your Posts on Just Retweet

To share your posts, simply go to the Submit Tweet tab and you will see the following form you need to fill out.

The form is relatively simple, with a focus on Twitter (because your content can be tweeted – whereas only liked or +1 on the other networks).

Recommended Credits to Give

It is entirely up to you how many credits you give, but the more you give, the more shares you will probably get.

You can also earn more by only sharing the more expensive content too – usually a sign of higher quality.

It’s up to you.

Empire Avenue

Empire Avenue is a more complex website on which to share your posts.

However, if you focus simply on Missions, it is as simple  Just Retweet.

The main difference is the number of things you can share or ask people to do. It’s actually unlimited.

While Just Retweet it is focused on Twitter with like on Facebook and +1 on Google+, Empire Avenue is about promoting via Missions. You decide what people need to do and how much you want to give them.

Earning Eaves on Empire Avenue

Like with Just Retweet, you need to earn Eaves (instead of Credits) by completing missions on Empire Avenue.

With these Eaves you can later start your own missions.

**Note: When you first start out on EA, you cannot start missions. You need a share price of 30e OR you can buy the ability in the shop. It doesn’t cost much – about $5. So either wait or pay. I paid.

First you need to go to the Missions section. Then choose Current Missions  to see what is on offer to start earning Eaves.

Missions range from simple (retweet, like, thumbs up) to complex (multiple likes/comments/shares, comment on a post and share it).

Likewise, the amount you can earn is related to the mission complexity – BUT sometimes if people want something shared or liked quickly they will pay a lot.

Here are a few missions that are currently running

If we open the one about Facebook for 5000 Eaves you will see the following

empire-avenue-facebook-mission

You see clearly at the top how many missions are remaining (you only need 1) and how many eaves you can earn.

In the middle you should read the mission details to make sure you can complete it.

I also like to click the Mission URL before accepting the mission to make sure I can do it AND want to do it.

When you are sure you want to do it – click Complete Mission. This will take you to the Mission URL/Page where you do what is asked.

Once completed, you can leave a “shout out” to the mission owner to thank them and inform them you have done it.

After a while you will get quick at this, and earn lots of Eaves in a short time.

Getting your Posts Shared

Once you have some Eaves to spend on Empire Avenue (and the rights), you can create your own missions.

Again in the Missions Section go to the Create Mission tab.

Here you will see a few sections you need to fill out:-

  1. Mission Title (capture attention here: eg. Easy Retweet – 2500 eaves)
  2. Mission Type (with URL, Tweet or YouTube)
  3. Mission Description (describe exactly what is required)
  4. Mission Info/URL (make sure you put the correct URL here)
  5. Reward (choose how many Eaves you give and how many times)
  6. Requirements (usually leave defaults here)

** Note: Empire Avenue takes an Eaves commission, usually 100% – so you need double the eaves to run a mission

Also, be aware that missions will move down the Current Missions list as time goes on, so you might need to rerun missions later to get people’s attention.

I have previously posted some more details about running Empire Avenue missions and a few strategies – which you should read.

Viral Content Buzz

The third option for sharing your content is Viral Content Buzz, a relatively new site from Ann Smarty of My Guest Blog fame.

Currently they offer sharing on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Stumbleupon.

The main difference with Viral Content Buzz is that they manually screen all posts.

So sharing content on here is sometimes more difficult – BUT it means that you can rest assured it is all quality content you are sharing.

Earning Credits on Viral Content Buzz

On the Dashboard tab you will see items that you can share like the following image.

Depending on the social media platforms you have registered, the various icons will be available for sharing.

One of the most common ways to earn credits is to Tweet a post. Click on “Twitter” and you will see the following

viral-content-buzz-tweet-options

Message is basically the tweet (which you can alter to add hashtags etc) and then the options for when it is tweeted are:-

  • Send Now (basically tweet now)
  • Buffer (The tweets in VCB are then spaced out)
  • Schedule (you set the time/date you want it sent out)

You are then allocated the credits when the Tweet goes out (not when you click the button).

The other sharing options are also straight forward, such as Stumble Upon – a form is provided similar to the standard one on the website.

Getting your Posts Shared

Adding a post to be shared on Viral Content Buzz is quite simple.

Go to the Add Project tab and you will see the following form.

The fields you need to fill in are:-

  1. URL (your post)
  2. Title (make this Tweet friendly – including hashtags if you wish)
  3. Description (appears on VCB and Facebook)
  4. Groups (choose a few relevant ones – people find your posts in them)
  5. Project Budget (how many credits you want to give for the whole project)
  6. Choose the social media platforms you want to share on
  7. click – read the guidelines and submit it

This is what the form looks like (I have split it in two to fit on the page better).

After you submit it you can wait up to a day to have it reviewed. If it is accepted, it will automatically start running.

It is difficult to know what makes a good post. ie one that will be accepted to VCB. However if you are rejected, try a different post.

I have had a few rejected so don’t be discouraged.  If you have more questions on how to use Viral Content Buzz, I recommend reading their FAQ.

Summary

There are many options for sharing your posts to the world. You don’t just need 1 million Twitter followers to be heard.

By leveraging the followers of others you can spread the word in many different ways. The only catch is you have to do the same in return.

Try a few of these sites out and see for yourself how easy it is to expand your reach.
