I always proof read my posts but there is always an error. My sister usually catches one and and I think "How could I have not seen that one?"
I have always worked fast. In first grade my teacher used to call on me to slow down and take my time. I was always the first one done with every assignment. When I have slowed down it seemed to have caused errors too - I just feel right working at a fast pace.
Yesterday I found a glaring error while I was drying my hair and looking at my smartphone. So I thought I should share a few tips on ways to proof your blog posts.
1) Re-read on a smart phone - You can always catch something that way.
2) Print it out - Seeing in in print is different than on a computer screen.
3) Re-read another time of day - re-reading right after writing tends to make you read what you think - not what is really there.
If you ever see an error just drop me a comment, I'd appreciate it! Let's see if I can break the cycle and have error-less posts. If you had an error that was funny I'd love to hear about it!
