3 Ways Dorot Gardens Makes Cooking Fun + Garlic Pasta W/ Crushed Tomatoes and Basil
By Cait @caitscozycornerOver the past 6 years of marriage, I've never been a huge fan of cooking. Slowly but surely I've had to figure thing out and realize that simple, delicious meals are made from also simple and delicious ingredients.
One of the things I really despise about cooking is the prepping. It can be daunting, especially when it comes to using fresh herbs. This past weekend, my little family and I decided to spice things up a bit when I made a favorite of mine, Garlic Pasta with Crushed Tomatoes and Basil! I love the garlic added to the pasta but it's an ingredients that I often don't have all the time- especially before it goes bad.
While shopping at my local grocery store, I decided to try Dorot Cubes that were located in the frozen food aisle. They are fresh herbs and flavors like chopped basil and crushed garlic and frozen into single size cubes that can be pulled out of the freezer when needed.
So what do I love about these products?
Convenience- they are so easy to use! There is no chopping, pealing or washing. No cutting boards at all! You just have to drop the cubes into a pot!
Availability- These cubes are perfect when you're in a rush and have no time to grab fresh herbs. Often, the last thing you want to do is make a grocery tun to get garlic or a lot of basil. You can keep your favorite herbs in the freezer and add it to any dish you're making!
Excitement- I actually am slowly starting to enjoy cooking again! Having the encouragement to cook at home and cook healthier, delicious meals for my family- well that's a huge plus! Plus, these herbs add a lot of great flavor and can help cut back on the amount of other sugars or salt you may be eating.
Now, let's get to my delicious Garlic Pasta with Crushed Tomatoes and Basil. It's the perfect dish to serve to your family, company or just enjoyed by yourself!
