I know this is being overly dramatic, but let's face it, you can't easily trust anyone these days. With all the crimes happening today, we have to be vigilant. This is not me affected by all the movies I have watched, but by all the unsettling events I always read in the newspapers, watched on TV's, or some random shared photos on Facebook. Hiring a private investigator is not usual here in the Philippines, perhaps, will costs more than we know, but we can't really say when will someone we thought we know could harm us, yes? That is why I listed down 5 reasons why we should, at least, consider hiring one.
1. Identity theft risk
Now that anyone can easily obtain someones personal information through the social media, identity theft became really common. My aunt's friend was a victim of identity theft. It's really scary. What if that someone commits a crime while using your identity? That can be pretty ugly. Private investigators can help you determine if someone has stolen and used your identity and can also advise you on how you can prevent to be a victim.
2. Frauds
This is quite the same as identity theft, they use someones identity or make up a new one. Frauds can either be your new secretary, or worse, your nanny. Sometimes, they will pretend that they are from insurance companies and collect all your money without you knowing anything and before you know it, it's too late. A private investigator can confirm a fraud for you.
3. Stalkers
As I said earlier, anyone can easily know a thing or two about a person. And that's when the stalking begins. They follow you everywhere you went, knows everything about you, or worse, do something really bad to you. We don't really know what a desperate people can do. This can make a person scared of going out alone and paranoid and a private investigator can, without a doubt, help you with this problem, since they can collect enough evidence about the stalking and you can file a complaint to this stalker.
These are just three of maybe a hundred of reasons why we should consider hiring a private investigator. Some may think that it is unnecessary and a waste of time and money, but it won't hurt to try. We might not know it, but I think there are Global Investigations happening before our eyes relating to those three reasons I just mentioned.
