An obvious choice for someone that is a good decision maker. Being level headed is a key trait for many business owners. Many have a natural leadership quality. Before diving right in and setting up a venture, you could gain some qualifications first.
An online bachelors degree in organizational leadership could be studied around your current role. Then, when you graduate and set up your business you have knowledge behind you. Any kind of business degree would also be useful.
If you wanted to be extra careful, you could work for a year or more in a business related career after graduating to gain some experience. These are the skills that will come in useful for when you've established your own company, and will increase your chances of success. I know I've always learned more by doing things along the way and learning from mistakes made.
Manager/ Team Leader Career Ideas
Being a team leader is ideal for those that are natural leaders and are happy providing others with direction. Oftentimes, being a team leader can pay you well and you gain respect from your peers.
The best thing about this, is that most jobs enable you to work your way up to manager's status if you're hardworking and reliable.
It can take many years, but you can essentially start at the bottom and work your way up. As you work in a company over time, you learn the ropes. Thus, eventually you can find your way to the top. By starting at the bottom you can really learn about the business and help others to grow it for you.
Project Managers Tend to Be Born Leaders
Project managers are good at multitasking. Good project managers are not getting bogged down by silly details. They are able to see the 'bigger picture.' Many projects managers are adaptable and flexible. Hence they are able to make a plan work even as issues crop up. As you know, issues can change the overall path of progress.
If this sounds like your kind of skill set then project managing could be the perfect career for you . Again, project managers exist in all kinds of industries. So it's something you could work towards in the career you're currently in. Or you could get qualified and specialize in a specific industry before applying for jobs.
