3 Ingredient Ice-Cream. {Yes It's Healthy & Tastes Good!}

By Momfashionlifestyle @Fashnlifestyle

I used to have a love for sugar. I ate it every day. And never in moderation.

Sugar was my ultimate weakness. But the reality is, sugar sucks. It not only slows you down… it is highly addictive.

Yes, My name is Christina, and I used to be addicted to sugar.

 "When we eat sugar dopamine is released in the brain, giving us a feeling of pleasure."  And who doesn’t want that feeling of pleasure?? Well I know I do. The truth of the matter is that once you stop eating it, you stop craving it. I know that is hard to believe. But I am living proof. The only reason I stopped eating it was because I was put on bedrest with our daughter when I was only 8 weeks Pregnant, and I didn’t want to gain an exorbitant amount of weight. But I am telling you, once I got past the first two weeks {and yes those weeks were awful}. The cravings went away.

Yes I still love brownies and chocolate, and amazing desserts, but the difference is I learned moderation, and I have a feeling of satisfaction.

One thing I do eat on a regular basis is Talenti Gelato. It’s amazing… but way expensive. So whenever I want some I just whip up this easy banana soft serve in my handy dandy Vitamix! And yes it really only has three ingredients!

Three Ingredient Ice-Cream

Ingredients

  • 2-3 Frozen Bananas
  • A Splash of Non Dairy Milk {I use Coconut Milk}
  • 1/2 C. Cocoa Powder {yes I love chocolate}

Place everything in your blender… add a little milk to get it going. If you have a Vitamix you don’t need more than a splash. I have never tried it, but it may be easier to place everything in a food processor if you do not have a Vitamix. Scoop into a bowl, and enjoy!

Also you can top it or mix in anything you want, the possibilities are endless!

Combos we like:

  • sub out the cocoa with 1/2 C. pineapple and 1/4 C. coconut
  • top with fresh berries
  • stir in a couple tablespoons of nut butter
  • top with coconut whipped cream and chopped nuts and a cherry for the perfect vegan dairy free ice cream sundae at home!!
