2500 Miles Jan Update
Well that is month one coming to an end (OK there are a few hours left, but I'm not planning on walking very much more, bar to my bed, and maybe the kitchen for a snack), so here I am with final walking tallies, a few of the nicer photos from the month, the odd link back to some of my favorite (or more relevant) posts from the past month and well, what ever else I fancy adding really.

2500 Miles Jan Update

First and foremost you'll all be wanting to know how many miles I walked through Jan right? well I'll get right to that, but first, I'll round down here, just for convienience, as does anyone really need to know about that point 2 miles or whatever?
right, kept you hanging one there, didn't I, it's like some kind of tease.
Jan Total - 296 Miles2017 total - 296 Miles
that is 296 miles of hard slog, walks to work, school runs, shopping trips and plenty of cold and frosty experiences, wonder what Feb will bring, I'm guessing snow at some point.

The other important aspect of teh walk is of course the money raised, well so far I have raised a pleasing 15% of my goal, yup £75 down, £425 to go (with gift aid its more like £93 raised). Please do consider helping out, click the button below:

Best Bits So Far

I've had some nice frozen walks on my local patch, as you'd think, we've been geocaching, and just had some family walks, basically it's been a normal month with some extra walking involved (hopefully in Feb and beyond there will be a few more walks that are not quite so local as over the road).
These have been my favorite walks in the great outdoors this month:
Taking My Breath Away - My longest single walk of 2017 and with an amazing experience with nature too.
Stony Stratford Sunday Walk - A nice family walk in the cold.
Sparkling Frost - Some stunning scenes of nature and the great outdoors on this walk
First Geocaching of 2017 - Starting the year as we hope to carry on, as a family looking for small plastic pots and walking lots in nature.
And these are some of my favorite photos from my walks (me showing off  bit as well maybe):

Well, I've enjoyed my time outdoors this month and I've enjoyed sharing my walks with you on here, I hope you will be back as I continue my journey to 2500 miles, and please do offer words of encouragement if you meet me, or on social media, they really help to keep going on cold mornings where the walk to work is all that lays ahead. If you can please consider donating, and maybe share a post or two to let others know about my efforts.
