Harini Logan, a girl from India, won the SCRIPPS 2022 national spelling bee on Thursday. 8th grade students from Texas won the competition by spelling more words correctly in the spelling, the first bee from the beginning of 1925.
MS Logan defeated Vikram Raju, another Indian student, who studied in grade 7 in Denver.

Spelling bees have a time -time when the two competitors fail to spell two words correctly in succession between rounds 13 and 18, reporting USA Today. This encourages judges to choose the spelling 90 seconds to spell as many words as possible, the report.

While Ms Logan spell 21 words correctly, his opponent can only manage 15, which leads to his victory.

The New York Times reported that the stomping moment came for MS Logan, 14, when he was eliminated in the final. But the judges then decided that the definition he gave for the word pullulation was acceptable.

This is the fourth and last appearance for MS Logan in bees, and he said the victory was “surrealist”, according to NYT.

Vikram Raju, 12, stood with his head bowed after the competition for three hours. But when the host Levar Burton asked if he would return to the bee next year, the answer was firm “yes”.

Indians always dominated the competition, however, last year it was damaged after the 14-year-old Zila Avantgarde became the first African-American contestant who won the SCRIPPS national spelling bee.

National Bee is a high-pressure and high-pressure resistance test as much as a spelling match and spelling spending months to prepare it.
