2015 Awards – Best Sci-Fi

By Newguy

Through the month of January I will be looking back on 2015, I will be looking at a range of subjects where I will be picking my best or worst in separate posts.

Today I will be look at Best Sci-fi

I would say most of this year has been the hype behind the upcoming Star Wars movie so everything else seems to have been ignored.

Mentions that could have been number one;

Star Wars The Force Awakens

The sequel we all wanted that will bring all the love back to the saga.

·   Project Almanac

This modern look at time travel with the idea of found footage really works very well and it also isn’t afraid to show how naive the characters would be if they had unlocked time travel.

·   Jurassic World

I may have gone into this one with too much hype because I was expecting something much like the original and sure we do get something similar but it is nothing overly special.

·   The Martian

While this could be the most re-watchable of all the films on this list and fills all the space filled sides, even the human side of this story comes off brilliant.

·   Mad Max Fury Road

mad max
I can’t let this film win all the awards but the sci-fi world created is breath-taking.

My favourite

·   Ex-Machina

ex machina
I don’t think we will see a better sci-fi film in many years to come this film gives us a perfect look at how world could be changed with the addition of the robots. The human side of this story is what wins this film the award.
