2014 in Review

By Ninstravelog @ninstravelog

I gave a long thought if I really want to publish The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys as my year-end post. I did this a few years ago and I thought I should not do this every year.  I was also thinking of posting something special with special picture, but then I end up running out of time, and soon some are of this globe has gone through their countdown moment.

Anyway, looking back and learning the analysis of what I’ve done so far in term of blogging, I think I did not do so bad, or maybe not good enough, or lets say it as I could have done better. I have to admit that at one period I did not post anything due to my “off-line” glitch; I also did not do enough “blog-walking” or maybe the term is I did not do enough “networking” to persuade people to look at my blog at least. The bad news is that my most popular blog posts were the one that I posted in before 2014 yet it still top rated till to date…. o_O

A couple of confusions:

Also from the same statistic I’ve learned that my visitors are mostly from Indonesia (who are Indonesian speaker off course ) yet I blog in English… so what am I doing here???? should I blog in Indonesian more?

There is another thing: yes, I have my own niche of blogging genre, that is about my travel experience; However, my Indonesian reader mostly they are looking for my Travel&Resources category  and mainly about visa issue, which maybe help those who wants to travel, and according to WordPress’ suggestion, I should write more on similar topic. Well I want to write about my travel experience tho, not the “agony of travel!”

My Travel destination is to ‘funny’ places and the least popular places for my Indonesian reader. I think this is why they don’t comment enough on my blog posts, as my destination were not fun enough and familiar enough for them to make comment. After saying that, I have to thank Kurt of Wandering Through Time and Place for his effort on placing most comments on my blog, I really appreciate that.

Without further ado, here’s my 2014 blogging report WordPress version:

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

2014 in review

Here’s an excerpt:

Madison Square Garden can seat 20,000 people for a concert. This blog was viewed about 63,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Madison Square Garden, it would take about 3 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Full list of what I wrote in 2014 can be seen here (2014) on my Timeline page

New Year Resolution?

I don’t like resolutions…. especially on the last day of the year…. I might think of it after the new year, but certainly not now….

So stay tune… I might post something different after the new year, but maybe not…. Anyway, best wishes for 2015.
