2014 Awards – Worst Supporting Characters

By Newguy

Through the month of January I will be looking back on 2014, I will be looking at a range of subjects where I will be picking my best or worst in separate posts.

Today I will be look at worst supporting Characters, sometimes we get supporting characters that just make you shout get off the screen. These usually come off as characters that we don’t mind getting killed off even if they are best friends of our heroes.

Mentions that could have been number one;

Ronan (Lee Pace) – Guardians of the Galaxy

I believe this to be a weird choice as I enjoyed the film and every other character in the film, but I found the main villain really unoriginal and just plain annoying whenever he was onscreen. My Review

Jeanine (Kate Winslet) – Divergent

In what was meant to be the villainous role in the film we get left only seeing her talk about what she is going to do and her evil plan gets stop with ease by our new hero. My Review

Doyle (Wes Bentley) – Interstellar

doyle
Whilst I have nothing against Wes Bentley performance the character itself makes you just scream ‘Get on the ship’ seriously he is stood next to it and somehow doesn’t make it. My Review

My pick for worst

Clinch (Liam Neeson) – A Million Ways to Die in the West

neeson
When this was advertised we were expecting to see him in every scene against the hero, in the end he was only in the film for about 10 minutes and we are left thinking what was this crap. My Review
