2014 Awards – Best Action

By Newguy

Through the month of January I will be looking back on 2014, I will be looking at a range of subjects where I will be picking my best or worst in separate posts.

Today I will be look at Best Action. In a year where action films came at us thick and fast it was going to be hard to pick the best.

Mentions that could have been number one;

Godzilla

godzilla
The reboot of the classic after the poor attempt in 1998 we finally got what we wanted a brilliant action pack monster movie. My Review

Guardians of the Galaxy

With this being one of the best all round films of the year it has everything and the action comes at us thick and fast. My Review

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

In what is the only film on this list that holds back on multiple action scenes it is all about the build towards the action scenes that give us a greater reward. My Review

X-Men Days of Futures Past

xmen
The most destructive of all the X-Men we even see most of our loved characters get destroyed in the opening sequences of a separate reality. My Review

Non Stop

The almost forgotten film that makes my list, with Liam Neeson trying to find a criminal on a flight, it is one of the most tense action thriller of the year. My Review

My favourite

The Raid 2

raid 2
This one had to take the number one spot with some of the most intense fighting scenes in film history. My Review
