2013: Week 47festive tea | planning | fashion masterclasscanary wharf | face | sunsetcutest penguins | secret screening | red cupI hadn't realised how quick time was passing by until at the weekend, my boyfriend told me it's three weeks until we go to Berlin. Immediately, alarm bells started ringing in my head, if it's three weeks until our trip away, that means I've got a lot of work to get done in a much shorter time frame than I'd realised! Eek.

On Friday I went on a day trip down to London to hear from four very inspirational women in the fashion industry; Lucinda Chambers (Fashion Director at Vogue) Victoria White (Editor of Company Magazine) Zoe Beaty (Features Writer at Grazia) and Louise Gannon (Celebrity Interviewer for numerous publications) They were all great to listen to and made some really good points. I even managed to chat to Victoria a little about blogging before we had to leave, which was pretty nerve-wracking at the time! I left really motivated to make the most of the time I've got left at uni and to approach people and not be afraid of asking questions as the majority of people will like to talk about themselves if you ask them! It's now less than a month until Christmas and you may have seen my Christmas at Lush post here. It was great to walk around the store and smell everything although I did leave wanting pretty much everything I'd seen/sniffed! My shopping has started and slowly but surely it's becoming mayhem to try and walk around the city center in Sunderland (don't even get me started on Newcastle and getting around Primark at the weekend)Last night, Andy and I went to the cinema for another of Cineworld's Secret Screenings. They showed The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty (fully released in the UK from Dec 26th). It's a really inspirational, warm film with some amazing locations and you'll leave feeling really upbeat unlike when I decided to watch Requiem For A Dream on Saturday night. I'd never seen it before and was starting to feel like a bad media student so I decided at around 11pm after finishing an episode of House of Cards, I'd give it a go. If you've seen it, you'll know exactly what I mean and if you haven't, I urge you to watch it; I guarantee it'll change your outlook.

Tonight I'm really excited to see Andy's new band play their first gig. They've been having weekly practices for quite a few months now so it's going to be good to hear their music finally and meet the guys he keeps mentioning to me.

What've you been up to?
