Pawan Kalyan – Atharintiki Daredi
Once again Pawan Kalyan got a director who knew how to channelize the hyper energy of Pawan Kalyan. Result, once again was fabulous and even better compared to the last outing. Trivikram managed to extract the best performance from Pawan Kalyan by giving him a characterization that suited him to the T.
Prabhas – Mirchi
Finally in Mirchi we had a movie with content that exploited the cut out of Prabhas. More than the characterization of hero it’s the usage of hero that is remarkable. Director Koratala Siva managed to hold the attention of the viewers by giving them a Prabhas that they had been hoping to see from a long time. That scene with Prabhas holding a sickle while folding his lungi, was more electrifying to see than any electrifying characterization.
Nikhil – Swami Ra Ra
It’s been a long time since we saw a film where the hero played a pickpocketor and that alone gives it a place among the top characterization of the year. The director has done a brilliant job in portraying these pick pocketor on screen without looking too outdated or amateurish on screen.
Jr NTR – Ramayya Vastavayya (First Half)
A completely new fresh Jr NTR on screen, something that the fans have not seen before. It was what the director promised and delivered. Only if he had something for the character to chew onto in terms of story apart from showing his newly acquired skills. May be the film too would have been memorable.
Nithin – Gunde Jari Gallanthayyinde
Actor Nithin once again got a freshly written role that perfectly suited his age and without having the weird eccentricities of some of his past films. It worked like a charm for the actor and his chemistry with heroine Nithya Menon was again in full display here. Together they made this film another lovable experience.
