2013 Best Festival Looks: Glastonbury Edition

By Stilettosanddiaperbags @Sadbblog
Music festivals often mean Wellington boots, raincoats and a lot of mud alongside the rock 'n’ roll, especially on this side of the pond. However, with the unusual heat wave giving 2013's Glastonbury Festival revellers sunburn, celebrities haven't been afraid to show a little skin in this year’s field fashion parade. But who came away with the best dressed title?   It's Glastonbury tradition for some stars to really push the boundaries, taking advantage of the carnival-like atmosphere to go even more outrageous and flamboyant than usual. Rita Ora turned heads in her red tasselled dress, while Solange Knowles performed in a printed silk shirt and fitted trousers, working a look that was simultaneously quirky and high fashion. Paying slightly less attention to current trends was Azealia Banks, working a sort of dinosaur/superhero combo that even involved a single white-eye contact lens. Offstage, it seemed the celebrity fashion statement leaned towards classic festival comfort, sticking to a look that's gone unchanged for several years now. Denim shorts, printed tops, boots, and flowery hair garlands created the 'messy chic' look beloved of festival girls everywhere, although some decided to update the look a little. Suki Waterhouse stood out in her Kate Spade New York prom-style dress and biker jacket, while model Lily Cole opted for an ethereal printed maxi dress, which she wore with practical leather boots and leopard skin sunglasses. For a similar style, check out the range of maxi dresses at Very.co.uk. Florence Welch certainly knows how to work wonders on the festival circuit, and this year was no exception. From her summery Dolce & Gabbana print floral dress to her tasselled jacket and jeans number - even in a field, Florence always looks amazing. Ditto for Ms. Kate Moss, who could probably wear a plastic bag and would still be the Queen of Glastonbury. The supermodel brought effortless chic to the Somerset fields with a pair of high heeled boots, skinny black jeans and a Matchless leather jacket. And what would Glastonbury be without Sienna Miller and her eternal boho chic? The actress embraced the summer with a floral dress paired up with biker boots. All in all, it seems like the sun brings out the best in our festival fashionistas. Fingers crossed next year brings us equally warm weather and creative couture!
