2012 Resolutions

By Inordinatelyplush @inordinateplush
Well here we are, we are in 2012. I hope everyone had an extremely enjoyable night last night. I think there’s nothing better when I’m hungover, than sitting on Bloglovin’ with a nice cuppa catching up with what everyone’s been going on. Does anyone agree? I tend to call this a blogging binge, and quite frankly, I binge on any other normal day- pretty often then- so why not New Years Day aswell?. Anyway, after much deliberation I have come up with some resolutions. Most years it’s always the same generic things like ‘Eat healthy’ or ‘Do assignments early’ and I didn’t want to do these again because I never stick to them, I do things my way, and my way is chocolate and last minute essays. Unfortunately for me.
Resolution Number One – To keep blogging.Obviously, I love blogging, but in the past I’ve went through spells where my blog has taken a back seat. I know this cannot be helped sometimes, but in any event where this happens I would like to take the time out at least once every few days to post or tweet to my followers. I like having the flow of blog posts too, it’s like a little diary for me. I want to grow as a blogger, not necessarily wanting to gain as many followers as possible, but I want to pin point my blog’s niche, and learn HTML which will be hard I know.
Resolution Number Two – Take my medication on time all the time.I suffer from a form of rheumatoid arthritis and have done for about 2 or 3 years now, and when I have bad spells they tend to last for a few month before getting a fabulous jab in my backside to make me well for a couple of month. It has become the cycle of my life. Anyway, I complain and whinge when I get really bad but sometimes it’s my own fault. It is so hard remembering to take all my pills on time all the time. On my biggest pill day I should be taking 20 pills –crazy! But I tend to forget, bleurgh. So this year I will take all my pills and those dreaded Calci-Chews.
Resolution Number Three – Be a better texter/ringer back.I’m terrible at this. I see a text or a missed call and I put my phone straight back in my pocket, what’s up with that!? It’s not that I do not like whoever has rang or text me, it is honestly just that I think I’ll text them back when I sit down or get home –cannot multi task you see- and then I literally forget. And because I’m not much of a telephone person, I underestimate how bothered people get when I don’t ring them back. Maybe Number Four should be to be less laid back? Actually nah.
Resolution Number Four – Stop underestimating myself.
I’m in my third year of BSc Geography degree at university and the people on my course are massively intelligent and know the world and it’s ways inside out –sickening. I tend to get extremely intimidated by everyone when deadlines come around or revision periods, I feel like people don’t expect a lot from me, yet so far this year I’ve got nothing but First Class marks –except one 2:2 but he was a harsh marker. I need to forget about all the massive brained geographers and realize that this degree is for me, not for anyone else. As long as I know I can do well and prove it to myself then why should I give a s**t what others think?
Resolution Number Five – Keep Psycho Jen away.Psycho Jen hasn’t been unveiled for a while and I’d like to keep it that way. The only time she reveals herself is if I’m in a relationship or seeing someone; I’m pretty sure all girls have an inner psycho and I hate mine. I have a weirdly annoying life at the minute in terms of family and my condition, and I don’t need any more stresses or drama. So, avoid drama at all costs.
Couldn’t really think of a last resolution for Number Five, but it seems pretty wise to keep Psycho Jen hidden. I will probably think of more personal resolutions during my stressful first few weeks at university but for now, this is it. These are the only things which bother me –excluding a few slightly more personal, family related issues- or mean something to me at the minute.
I wish you all an excellent 2012 and hope all your dreams come true this year. Massive thank you to my new gorgeous followers and everyone who reads my blog, I love you all and you make me a happy lady. Have a fab lazy New Years Day before the real world begins again!
