2011 Wedding Film Review

By Lovegetssweeter @LoveGetsSweeter

2011 really was an amazing year so I have high hopes for 2012! I have been lucky enough to capture some truly wonderful weddings. Sharing such a special day with someone is an honor in itself and I can’t thank my couples enough for choosing me to capture their special day for them.

I have spent the last few days cutting together a new wedding film showreel to add to our portfolio page (keep an I eye out for that over the next few days) and I’ve come over all emotional reliving all the beautiful weddings! To celebrate all the different weddings Love Gets Sweeter have captured I thought I would share a few of my favorite blog posts again with you here. Just click on the image to be taken to the film you’d like to watch or feel free to watch every single one, I know I did!

We traveled all the way to Cardiff to capture the wedding of Maria and Scott. It proved to be one of the hottest days of the year so their photographers, Chapter Photography, suggested a trip to the beach which made for some great filming!

I couldn’t wait to film Lauren and Pat’s wedding back in September, even though I had only spoke to Lauren over the phone, I just knew it would be my kinda wedding! This film shows off their stunning London ICA wedding, but more importantly their obvious love and devotion for each other….

I had so much fun at this Mottram Hall wedding in Cheshire that I wouldn’t even know where to start! I still keep in touch with Laura-I’m hoping she’ll start her own wedding stationary business-and I also keep in touch with their talented photographer Mick Cookson. I guarantee this film will make you smile…

This was my first Surrey wedding and I had the pleasure of filming at the infamous Great Fosters. I can see why Vanessa and Simeon decided to celebrate their day there. As well as being a breathtaking wedding venue the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The barn dance looked like fun too…

As the Beatles said, All You Need is Love! Katie and Stuart were a joy to film. Their day was full of romance with a touch of fun. Even I fought back the tears watching their church ceremony back and loved the heartfelt speeches at their reception in The Grange, Wirral. The photoshoots with Jose at Fotografy was really fun too…

Thornton Manor in the Wirral is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the North West so made the perfect setting for a beautiful couple to celebrate their day! The Bride wore Jenny Packham and the Groom wore really cool Ted Baker shoes…

Jenna took a bit of persuading to have a wedding film (just read their testimonial to see)but finally agreed Paul was right after seeing the final films! Scarisbrick Hall in Ormskirk was the perfect, unique setting for their wedding and a lot of fun was to be had before they even made it to the ceremony…

I’ve always been a fan of Chapter Photography’s work. Ever since I saw Stacey at Cabello’s beautiful wedding photos that they captured. I have the pleasure of meeting so many talented photographers and a few of them were showcasing their work at St Georges Hall….

My first wedding network event! Brides Up North organised a Tweet Up for North West suppliers and what a Tweet Up it was! It’s a great feeling to be surrounded by so many passionate and talented people and I can’t wait for the next one (hint hint Julia!).

I can’t forget that 2011 was the year that I was shortlisted for a 2012 Wedding Industry Award! It’s not just any award though, a wedding award that was voted for by my actual clients (thank you!!) and it’s about customer service AND my actual work. I can’t tell you how proud I am to have this! Shortlisted! Best Wedding Videographer, North West! Not bad huh?

And not forgetting all the cool badges I’ve collected from Boho Wedding and Events Blog, English Wedding, 2012 Wedding Industry Awards, Little Miss Wedding and the Dream Wedding Directory…
