2010 Château Du Barail Reserve

By Brian @WineInMyGlass

It’s time for another quick review of a wine. I had this wine almost 3 weeks ago, so I’m just relying on my notes.

This is a Bordeaux white blend from Château du Barail. I couldn’t find much information about this château, but I did determine that it is in the Saint-Émilion region. and they do produce wines under the Saint-Émilion AOC. This is not an AOC wine because the Saint-Émilion AOC only includes red wines. Instead, this is labeled as a Grand Vin de Bordeaux. This wine is most likely a blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc.

There’s citrus, pear, and floral, with peach on the finish. There’s also some butter or cream on the palate. It is smooth and well-balanced with good acidity.

This wine gets an “Excellent” rating.

Now I’m caught up on wine reviews.
