A decade of the Gregorian calendar that began on January 1, 2000, and ended on December 31, 2009, called the 2000s. The two major events that took place in the 2000s, the 9/11 and the financial crash made the people forced to say that the 2000s were rubbish. Although those events were, awful but occurred on contrary ends of the decade. The years 2000 and from 2002 to 2007 was an awesome decade mostly, if you just take away the years 2001, 2008 & 2009.

Some of the major events in the 2000s are The War on Terror and War in Afghanistan began after the September 11 attacks in 2001. Secondly, the progress of the Internet paid to globalization during the decade, which permitted faster communication among people around the world. Thirdly, Climate change and global warming became public apprehensions in the 2000s. Last but not least the usage of computer-produced imagery became more general in films produced during the 2000s.
