Its now two years since Mark died. I miss him and reminders are everywhere. Sadly I couldn't attend the funeral because it happened to be on my birthday. I said to Atie that I'd come and see her but life took me in a different direction to London.
I only logged into my blogger dashboard from my bookmarks today. After 4 years. And was surprised that I was still able to post here.
Mark was a driving force in getting me to join the YPP or Common Ground as it is now. I stood for the party in Corby in 2012 and spent much time with Mark, even spending a night overnight in Corby in order to get the Royal mail mailshot on in time despite the sods doing the mailshot on the day of the election.
Elections are rigged. That much is true. I stood again for the party in 2015, 2019 in Folkestone and then declared I'd had enough.
I occasionally see memories I'd posted to facebook of my campaign in 2012 and some of the photos were taken by Mark.
Pancreatic cancer is a hard taskmaster and I know of several people who have succumbed. I miss my friend.
Due to the quantum nature of things his atoms/electrons are probably still whirling around all his loved ones.
We all miss you Mark
