Once you have set the output directory and filename, you can continue with the default settings using the conversion process. Experienced users can adjust the quality, resolution, and level of zoom of the video.
To complete a task in a reasonable time, the DVD video ripping tool uses a moderate amount of system memory and CPU. It’s very responsive, it comes with a help file and manages to deliver good image and sound quality videos. In our testing we did not experience any problems; 1CLICK DVD Converter failed to freeze, crash, or view error dialogs.
On the other hand, additional video parameters (e.g. frame rate) and audio options (e.g. channel mode, sample rate) can not be controlled, as well as the audio track and subtitle language is chosen. Plus, it is not possible to set 1CLICK DVD Converter to automatically shut off the device when all the tasks are completed.
Among the configurable options, the possibility of including extras and subtitles, audio languages, introductions and menus, DTS audio, and dual-layer functions stands out. Furthermore, the program supports NTSC and PAL systems and is able to bypass the protections included in some types of discs.
