180,000 new guests check into exclusive Royal Mile hotel

An exclusive Royal Mile hotel has just received 180,000 new guests with accommodation that is not only fit for one queen but three.

The G & V is pushing the boundaries of eco-tourism in Scotland’s capital in a new partnership with Plan Bee Ltd, one of the UK’s leading sustainability businesses.

The company has set up three beehives on the roof of the only 5-star hotel on the historic Edinburgh street.  As well as joining an exclusive club of world leading brands who already house Plan Bee hives, the hotel will also receive dozens of jars of bespoke branded honey each year as part of the partnership.

Martin Scott, General Manager of G&V Royal Mile Hotel Edinburgh, said:

“We are absolutely thrilled to be the first hotel in Edinburgh to have our own bee hives. At Quorvus Collection we are committed to our values of Care, Create and Cultivate; I see no better way to give back to nature than with our own hives. The abundance of parks and flora around Edinburgh will create a perfect environment for the bees and the best part is that the honey produced will be served to our residents every morning. We cannot wait to welcome our ‘G&V Bees’”

Warren said:

“Our beehive management partners are showing their commitment to ‘proactive sustainability’, stepping forward to put something into the environment. More and more companies realize that it’s not just good for the planet, but good for their profit margin too as Millennial shoppers chose to spend their money with only the most ethical of businesses. The hospitality sector in particular realises its impact on natural resources and is playing a positive role in protecting and preserving honeybee populations.”
