Scorpio is the eighth sign and is associated with the depths of darkness, secrecy and death, as well as the phoenix. Scorpio as the number eight stands for change. Change is usually feared by people, but it is inevitable. Our outer being (the personality), i.e. the mental, emotional and worldly aspects of our lives, is changeable. Death is simply a transformation, a disappearance of the physical for a reappearance of the spiritual.
In the depths of our being, we are unchanging. As souls, we are eternal, and the light of the soul is also eternal. Scorpio can lead us into the depths of our being and help us to ignite our will and transform ourselves into light.
