Libra is the third cardinal and second air sign of the zodiac. In the physical body, Libra is related to the navel – the quiescent centre around which the wheel of activity revolves. The symbol of the sign
︎ represents the scales of justice, the crisis of choice and the axis of the equinoxes of Aries and Libra.
The symbol of Libra alludes to a bird with wings spread wide, hovering above the horizontal plane of the earth, in a state of perfect balance. This represents the prana state of Samana Vayu, the balance point between inhalation and exhalation. Through this point, we can enter and ascend into the inner pillar of consciousness.
The Images of Synthesis for the month of Libra illustrate the related symbolism. You find there all previous Libra paintings with detailed explanations in four languages (en/de/es/fr). You can also download print-versions for free. Find here the Images of Synthesis with short extracts from the wisdom teachings.
