1,500 Renovated Roads to Be Vested in Public

1,500 renovated roads to be vested in public Chief Government whip Highways Minister Johnston Fernando today said that arrangements have been made to vest 1,500 renovated roads with the public on Saturday.

The ceremony is scheduled to be held at the Mandaduwa Grounds in Weeraketiya with the participation of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa under the theme ‘The day completing 1,000 of projects.’

The 1,500 roads have been developed under the 100,000 road development programme as per President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s National Policy Framework, “Vistas of Prosperity and Splendour”.

These 1,500 roads have been developed within three months.

Minister Fernando said that work on these roads was completed in accordance with the health guidelines despite the quarantine curfews and other restrictions owing to the pandemic.
