The air sign Gemini is ruled by Mercury and is connected to the throat center and language. Humanity, the fourth kingdom of nature, is the throat center of the earth. With right speech we can develop right relationships and enjoy friendly, harmonious relations. The spirit of the sign of Gemini is the goal of humanity: to feel that the other is not another, but a brother. This is what Maitreya stands for. He wants to initiate humanity into this principle of brotherhood.
