10 Things to See & Do in the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham

Formed in 1965, the London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham forms part of inner London and is home to some of the capital's many attractions, boasting the best shopping experience in the city. With a handful of attractions and facilities, here is our list of 10 things you should see and do in Hammersmith and Fulham.

1. Take a walk along the Thames

Sat above and beside a meander on the River Thames, Hammersmith and Fulham is exposed to beautiful river walks and blissful views. There are several walks around the pastoral Thames river that make for a good wander. If you're really into scenic walks, there are plenty of hotels near Hammersmith which offer wonderful walks and more.

2. Westfield London

Westfield London is a huge retail and entertainment complex in Hammerfield that hosts an array of retail stores, restaurants and bars, and various entertainment facilities. This complex is also the largest shopping centre in Europe so we're sure it won't disappoint. Expect a range of dining and entertainment facilities, including cinemas, a bowling alley, and high-tech mini golf.

3. Fulham Palace

The historic home of the Bishops of London, Fulham Palace has a rich history to discover in their elaborate home and gardens. Explore the historic rooms of the house and the exquisite Botanic gardens which are dappled with vibrant plants and flowers.

4. Olympia London

Having hosted some of the greatest events and exhibitions in the UK, Olympia is the largest premises in central London and is the ultimate exhibition centre. Depending on the date you visit, you will find an assortment of exhibitions and events that suit many cultures and interests.

5. WWT London Wetland Centre

Offering a blissful bird viewing and nature experience, WWT is a wetland reserve located on former Victorian reservoirs, spanning over 100 acres. Since opening, the site has lured in many birds that can't be sighted elsewhere in the capital, and also accommodates a collection of otters and waterfowl.

6. King Street

Having served as the main road to the resplendent Windsor Castle for centuries, King Street now acts as the main shopping street in Hammersmith. Posting houses were once scattered along the road, but most have since turned into pubs.

7. Stamford Bridge and Craven Cottage

Offering all kinds of food from around the globe, from ice-cold treats to the hottest of spices, Shepherd's Bush market is a traditional street market that first opened in 1914. The 100-year-old market is one of the most multicultural and lively markets in London.

9. Bishops Park Beach

Providing an array of leisure facilities and activities, Bishops Park is a scenic park by the Thames. The area hosts a unique urban beach area, although this does not always come with the seaside sun. Prepare to get soaked in the water play area during summer, ideal for all ages.

10. White City Theatre

White City theatre is a new state of the art theatre that marksits place as a symbol of beauty and innovation in Hammersmith. It's innovative exterior design with digital and pristine detail make this building so appealing to look at.
