Posted on the 02 July 2022 by Melissa Jiggetts @jiggettsmelissa

Summer is here and that means road trip season! As a mom, I remember one of the most challenging things about road tripping with kids was finding ways to keep them entertained. That’s why I’ve put together some printable road trip bingo cards for kids!

These bingo cards are perfect for keeping your little ones occupied on long car rides. They can mark off items as they spot them outside or use the calling cards provided, and the first one to get bingo wins!

Why Bingo is a Great Game for Road Trips

Bingo is a great game for road trips because it’s simple, easy to play, and can be enjoyed by kids of all ages. Plus, it’s a game that the whole family can play together!

Here are a few more reasons why bingo is the perfect game for your next road trip:

1. It’s a visual game that can be played without taking up too much space in the car.

2. It’s a quiet game that won’t distract the driver.

3. It’s a great way to teach kids about observation and patience.

4. It can be played for hours on end!

5. And last but not least, bingo is a lot of fun!

How to Play Road Trip Bingo

The rules of road trip bingo are simple: Players mark off items on their card as they spot them outside the car window or the kids can take turns drawing cards from a bag. The first player to mark all of the items on their card and shout “Bingo!” wins the game.

You can make your own bingo cards by drawing items that you think your kids will see on your trip, or you can print out my free road trip bingo cards below.

If you’re using your own printable road trip bingo cards and want to use calling cards, simply draw out items from a hat or container. As you spot the items, call them out so that everyone can mark them off on their card. The first player to get bingo wins!

More Games to Play on Road Trips

In addition to bingo, there are plenty of other games that you can play on your road trip. Here are a few of our favorites:

I Spy: This classic road trip game is perfect for kids of all ages. One player picks an object and the other players have to guess what it is. There are also fun I-spy printables you can print, or you can make a simple list that the children can write down the things they see on their trip.

The Alphabet Game: This game is played by spotting objects in alphabetical order. For example, you might spot a “B” for billboard, an “L” for lamppost, etc. You can make a to-do like list and have the children write each item in alphabetical order as they write them.

The License Plate Game: This game is played by spotting license plates from different states. The first person to spot all the license plates in the states you are visiting wins! You can use a license plate printable that the kids can color in each state to make this game even more enjoyable.

The Spot it! Card Game: This is a fun and fast-paced card game that can be enjoyed by kids of all ages. Kids try to find the symbols on the cards.
