Who says binge-watching your favorite show and staying fit can’t go hand in hand?
Combine entertainment with exercise with these super simple moves you can do without missing a single plot twist.
Your couch might be comfy, but your body will thank you for moving!
1. Couch Squats
During commercial breaks or slow scenes, stand up, squat, and sit back down (without plopping!). Your glutes will love the extra attention.
2. Plank It Out
Hold a plank position during those intense drama scenes. Who will last longer: you or the cliffhanger?
3. Seated Leg Lifts
Stay seated and lift your legs one at a time. Bonus: Add ankle weights for more challenge. Multitasking at its finest!
4. Tricep Dips on the Edge of Your Couch
Use the couch for support and lower yourself down and back up to tone those arms. Your couch becomes your gym equipment!
5. Remote Control Twists
Hold your remote with both hands and twist your torso side to side. Who knew channel surfing could double as an oblique workout?
6. March in Place
Keep the blood flowing by marching in place. Add some flair with exaggerated arm movements. Get that heart rate up while watching your favorite sitcom.
7. Pillow Squeezes
Grab a pillow, place it between your knees, and squeeze it repeatedly. It’s like Pilates, but way cozier.
8. Shadow Boxing
Throw some jabs, hooks, and uppercuts during the action scenes. Who cares if you’re shadowboxing to a cooking show?
9. Side Leg Lifts
Stand next to the couch and lift one leg out to the side. Swap legs and repeat. Perfect for a superhero movie marathon.
10. The Recliner Stretch
Use your recliner or couch armrest for stretching out your legs, back, or arms. A good stretch makes TV time even more relaxing!
🎯 Pro Tip: Set a goal to finish a set number of reps during each episode. By the end of a series, you’ll feel as victorious as the main character.
